INTENSE!!! That one word can summerize last nights 2009 ARC Battle of the Bands Finals! Last nights show had over 800 spectators in attendance at Elements Nightclub. This was easily the largest local indie show ever in KW. If the audience wasn't wild enough the bands took it to the next level with over the top performances. Each band proved last night why they were in the finals. Last nights show was the best battle of the bands finals that we have ever had in our 5 year history. Taking top spot was Path Of Obliteration. Second Place was Life Like Rockets and third place was Unscathed. Scores will be posted on Monday. Congrats to all of the bands and fans that came out to make this show the best show we have ever hosted. ARC has worked with major acts such as City and Colour, The Cancer Bats, and Ill Scarlett to name a few but last nights show takes it as the best ARC show ever. Huge thanks to all of our sponsors and we look forward to seeing all of you next year at the 2010 ARC Battle!!! Last nights Wildcard date saw local favorites Wayfarer and Chasing Amee rock the socks off of our judges and audience, they will both be playing in the Semi Finals. Be sure to check out Chasing Amee in the Semi Finals with Yell the Burden, Unscathed, Path of Obliteraion, Life Like Rockets and The Rotten Friday April 3rd at The Schwaben Club. Wayfarer will be playing their semi date on April 17th with Bravura, Extinct or Alive, Greyawake, Some Other Influence, and This City Divided, doors open at 7 at The Schwaben Club.

The group A preliminaries concluded Friday with Life Like Rockets advancing to the semi finals. The 3 bands that will be given another chance in the Wildcard show from Group A bands are: The Villians, Bosswhich, and Wayfarer. The wildcard date takes place on Friday March 20th at The Schwaben Club.

Friday's show was another great one with Kitchener punks taking the top spot. This weekend is a busy one with the ARC Battle continuing on Friday then ARC presents Hostage Life and The Artist Life on Saturday Jan 31st at The Schwaben. Two big shows this weekend be sure to check both of them out!!!

The hottest place in town last night was The Schwaben Club as round 2 of the battle heated the night up. All the bands put on a great show but Unscathed come out on top and won last nights show.

The battle kicked off last night with a huge bang. Winning last nights competition was Yell The Burden. Ever band put on a killer show but Yell The Burden took the top spot. Last nights scores are now posted in the "Scores" section. If your favourite band didn't win last nights competition they still have a chance to make it to the semi finals or even the finals. The highest scoring band in "Group A" rounds and "Group B" that didn't win their night will earn a spot in their respective semi finals. If your favourite band hasn't made it to the semis you will have the chance after the semi finals finish to vote in the "Fan Vote" section for your favourite band to play in the finals held at Elements Nightclub on Friday May 1st 2009.
